The next Voter Education and Outreach Coalition (VEOC) meeting is on Monday, October 14, 2024. On Zoom from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

We will welcome new VEOC members, go over general updates, and start outreach conversations for the 2024 Presidential Elections. Bring ideas and be ready to discuss all things voting. Ideally, we’ll appoint the VEOC board and start developing outreach programs for the March 5, 2024 Presidential Primary Election. The appointment of the VEOC board is an informal process, anyone interested in joining the VEOC board shall present a three-minute statement to coalition members who will then make the appointments. VEOC members are not remunerated. VEOC chairs volunteer organizing meetings, help decide, and implement programs. Lastly, VEOC is a non-partisan coalition where all members work together for the benefit of all County of Santa Clara voters.
The Voter Education and Outreach Coalition (VEOC) is a diverse collection of community members who work cooperatively with the County of Santa Clara Registrar of Voters to:
- Help inform voters about changes relating to the Voter’s Choice Act implementation
- Provide feedback on the new outreach messaging and tools
- Help identify and invite any additional communities missing from the conversation
- Become ROV ambassadors to personalize and amplify the message
- Assist with staffing and vote center locations
Although the VEOC will have meetings, it is expected that a more informal structure (for example, email communications) will allow for greater flexibility towards meeting the goal of addressing the diverse issues that may require input.
Community members who are interested in serving on the VEOC can fill out the online form. All individuals and organizations interested will have access to our regular meetings, email correspondence and voter education and outreach resources.
