Attention FPPC Filers,
On May 13, 2014, the County of Santa Clara Board of Supervisors amended Ordinance Code section A11-8 et seq. of the County of Santa Clara Ordinance Code (rev. 05/02/14), requiring that whenever any officeholder, candidate or committee is required by the California Political Reform Act (Gov. Codes, § 81000, 84100 et seq.) to file the original of a semi-annual campaign statement, a pre-election campaign statement, an amended campaign statement, or the original of a 24-hour report, a supplemental report or a late report during an election cycle with the Registrar of Voters, it shall be filed electronically.

The electronic filing system will streamline the preparation and filing of the campaign statements and reports, increase transparency by making it easier for the public to access campaign information, and reduce paper waste and time spent processing and storing paper filings at no cost.
Please start filing your campaign statements and reports electronically for filing period starting 7/1/2014.
Current Committees Who Have Already Been Required to E-file
The Ordinance is now expanded to require you as a current e-filer to file the following additional reports electronically:
- Report disclosing contributions received by or made to a candidate or local ballot measure of $1,000 or more, from a single source, 90 days prior to an election.
- Report disclosing independent expenditure made in support of or against a candidate or local ballot measure of $1,000 or more, from a single source, 90 days prior to an election.
- Supplemental pre-election campaign statement.

We will post tutorial material on our website and conduct formal training sessions to help with your filing needs. If you would like to schedule or attend a training session, please RSVP by calling our office at (408) 299-8639 during office hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Please note that classes will be canceled at our discretion if fewer than 4 people have signed up for a particular session. If you have signed up for a class that will be canceled, our office will notify you before the scheduled training date to reschedule training.
