One of the Outreach Team's goals is to encourage more of the county's youth to get involved in the political Processes.
The Outreach team will visit any High School in the county that requests a table or presentation. We encourage those who are eligible to register to vote as well as encourage all students to find ways to start getting involved in the community, from volunteering with the county to finding causes they support and getting involved with them.
Students aged 16 and 17 can pre-register to vote. When they turn 18 they will be automatically registered to vote.
High School students aged 16+ can volunteer with our office at various outreach events throughout the County, or at a vote center during election cycles. When students volunteer with us, they can earn community service hours! If a student volunteers at a vote center, as a student election officer, he/she has the choice of earning community service hours or receiving a stipend payment.
