SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CALIF. – All Vote Centers in Santa Clara County are now closed for the November 5, 2024 Presidential General Election. Vote Center staff will accommodate voters who were in line by 8:00 p.m. and no additional individuals will be allowed to enter.
“We saw a tremendous surge in voters casting their ballots on Election Day, both in person and by mail,” said Matt Moreles, Acting Registrar of Voters. “Our staff worked tirelessly to provide voters a variety of accessible and convenient voting options to reflect the diverse needs of our community. It is gratifying to see voters turning out to take advantage of these services and make their voices heard in the democratic process.”
As soon as the Vote Centers closed at 8:00 p.m., the Registrar of Voters published the first count of 362,872 ballots cast, which includes Vote by Mail and Official Drop Box ballots that arrived before Election Day. The initial results have been posted on www.sccvote.org and will be updated regularly through the night as ballots from Vote Centers arrive and are added to the tally. Read more...
