July 29, 2025 Special Elections
Two Special Elections of the Pacheco Pass Water District and Pacheco Storm Water District will take place on July 29, 2025. These are shared districts with San Benito County who serves as lead for these two Special Elections.
Eligibility to run for office for the Pacheco Pass Water District and the Pacheco Storm Water District is as follows: An eligible candidate for either district must be a holder of title to land within the boundaries of the district they are running for office, or a legal representative thereto in accordance with Section 34030 of the California Water Code, or a representative designated by a holder of title to land within the boundaries of the district they are running for office, if the holder has filed with the district they are running for office, written evidence of that designation.
Nominations for said offices may be filed no earlier than April 7, 2025 nor later than 5:00 p.m., May 2, 2025, the same being 88 days prior to said election, with the Registrar of Voters or his designee, at the San Benito County Department of Elections (Registrar of Voters) at the location listed below, on forms procurable in the Registrar of Voters' Office between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, beginning on April 7, 2025.
In the event that there are no nominees or an insufficient number of nominees for the offices of either district and a petition for an election is not filed with the Registrar of Voters on or before May 7, 2025, that being the 83rd day before the election, appointment to an elective office for either district will be made as prescribed in Section 10515 of the California Elections Code.
